Disney Shares First Look at EPCOT’s Upgraded Frozen Ever After Animatronics
For the last couple of years, Disney’s Frozen franchise has been hotter than ever, particularly when it comes to the Disney Parks.
Between the 2023 opening of Hong Kong Disneyland’s World of Frozen and the upcoming debut of Disney Adventure World’s Frozen land, it has been an exciting time.

Unfortunately, the new and improved versions of Frozen Ever After developed for both parks made the original version at Walt Disney World look shabby by comparison.
EPCOT’s Frozen Ever After Finally Gets an Update
Disney finally set out to remedy this issue earlier this year when Frozen Ever After at EPCOT closed for refurbishment.

During the downtime, Disney systematically updated the attraction’s animatronics, replacing the figures’ projection-mapped faces with a more traditional look.

Now, with one day to go until Frozen Ever After officially reopens, we have our first look at the updated animatronics.

They look amazing!

For comparison, here is a look at the old animatronics.

While the old projection-mapped faces allowed Imagineers to better animate the figures, the final result was often uncanny valley territory.

The new faces look infinitely better.
