Typhoon Lagoon’s Summer Reopening Date Has Been Revealed

While much of the country is still dealing with freezing temperatures and snow, things will be heating up before we know it.

At Walt Disney World, that means the start of Cool Kids’ Summer, which will return to the Most Magical Place on Earth again this year.

As Disney prepares for another summer of magic, memories, and more, it is also making sure that guests visiting Disney World have the opportunity for some fun in the sun.

To that end, guests will once again receive free water park admission on the day of their check-in. Additionally, Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach will be open simultaneously.

Disney World’s Water Park Schedule

Since the COVID-19 pandemic, Walt Disney World has usually operated only one water park at a time. Currently, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon is open, while Blizzard Beach is closed for refurbishment.

As we previously reported, Typhoon Lagoon will close on February 15, 2026, and Blizzard Beach will reopen.

Typhoon Lagoon Will Reopen in May

Earlier this morning, Disney announced that Typhoon Lagoon will officially reopen on May 12, and both Disney World water parks will remain open all summer long.

So, if you are a Disney water park fan, get ready! Another summer of fun in the sun is just around the corner.

Finally, don’t forget that the Disney Water Park seasonal pass will return in 2026, giving guests the opportunity to visit Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach as many times as they want next year!
