‘The Handoff’ Continues as ‘First Take’ Broadcasts Live From Disneyland Park
Earlier this year, ESPN announced it would send off the 2025-2026 NFL season in style with The Handoff, a 24-hour multi-platform initiative.
The new initiative kicked off last night after Super Bowl LX with Chris Berman leading a special presentation of NFL PrimeTime, broadcasting live from Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara.

At the conclusion of the show, Berman officially “handed off” the telecast to Scott Van Pelt, who hosted SportsCenter from SoFi Stadium.
‘First Take’ Is Live From Disneyland
While The Handoff is in many ways a final celebration of the NFL season, it is also about looking ahead to Super Bowl LXI, which will be broadcast by Disney.

After a busy night of football content, The Handoff continued this morning when First Take took to the air live from Disneyland Resort.
“Look at my friends! Mickey and Minnie, how you doing?” host Stephen A. Smith said as he kicked off the broadcast from Main Street, U.S.A.

Looking Ahead
After First Take, the fun will continue with SportsCenter, NFL Live, and Super Bowl Live, all broadcasting from Disneyland.

ABC will also get in on the fun with special presentations of Good Morning America, World News Tonight with David Muir, and Jimmy Kimmel Live!
So, be sure to stay tuned as ESPN and ABC celebrate the end of the football season and begin to look ahead to next year.
