PHOTOS: Josh D’Amaro and Bob Iger Celebrate the Dawn of a New Era at Disneyland

After an extensive search that included more than 100 internal and external candidates, Disney finally announced that Josh D’Amaro will succeed Bob Iger as the company’s next CEO.

Unlike the last time Disney attempted to find Iger’s successor, the outgoing CEO and his replacement have been careful to present a united front.

Since the long-awaited news came down the pipeline, we have seen Iger and D’Amaro appear together on ABC World News Tonight and hold a company-wide town hall.

Obviously, there was only one thing left to do- celebrate at Disneyland!

Bob Iger and Josh D’Amaro Head to Disneyland

Just days after Josh D’Amaro was named Disney’s next CEO, the longtime executive and Bob Iger paid a visit to Disneyland together.

D’Amaro, of course, previously served as President of Disney Experiences. It was only natural that he celebrate his promotion at The Happiest Place on Earth.

Taking to Instagram, Bob Iger shared a photo of himself and D’Amaro posing in front of the Partners statue.

“A morning at Disneyland with Josh D’Amaro, the new CEO of The Walt Disney Company. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate Josh’s appointment!” Iger captioned the post.

A Full Circle Moment

D’Amaro also commemorated the occasion on social media, sharing a series photo of the duo’s visit.

“It felt so good being back where it all started. Had a fantastic morning yesterday walking the park with Robert and chatting with our guests and cast,” he wrote.

As D’Amaro alluded to, his career with Disney actually began at Disneyland. It was only appropriate, then, that he and Iger celebrate where it all began.
