Let’s Check Out the Debut of Humphrey the Bear at Storytellers Cafe!

We’re celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Disneyland Resort’s second park expansion!

The expansion project brought us Disney California Adventure, Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, and Downtown Disney. So, needless to say (but we’ll say it anyway), there’s a lot to celebrate. 

Lucky for us, the resort has tons of anniversary offerings to dive into–including a character’s first Disney Parks appearance. Let’s check him out!

Humphrey the Bear – Storytellers Cafe

Storytellers Cafe at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel is one of our favorite character buffet experiences!

Here, we can cozy up with a Craftsman-style ambiance–matching the rest of the hotel–while rubbing shoulders with beloved Disney characters.

While we don’t really need an excuse to stop by, as we’re always happy to visit the restaurant, we’re here today for one thing and one thing only: Humphrey the Bear! That’s right–the hilarious Brownstone National Park grizzly bear has made his way to Storytellers Cafe! (You may have seen him in Goofy and Donald Duck cartoons, or even in his own shorts!)

Dinner Buffet

If you’re hoping to meet Humphrey, you’ll need to be here for Donald’s Tales of Adventure Dinner Buffet–the only meal service he’s currently available at. 

And here’s the bear of the hour! He was just as silly as we imagined he’d be.

While we were here for Humphrey, we, of course, were super delighted to also meet Daisy, Donald, Pluto, and Clarabelle!

(Goofy is no longer part of the dinner lineup, as he was replaced by Humphrey.)
