Disney’s ‘Eragon’ Series Gets an Exciting Update
Back in 2022, Variety reported that Disney+ and Christopher Paolini were teaming up to develop an adaptation of the author’s hit young adult novel, Eragon.
At the time, it was revealed that 20th Television would produce the series, with Paolini attached as a co-writer and executive producer. Bert Salke was also involved with the project.

“This has been a long time coming,” Paolini shared on Twitter. “I can’t tell you how many conversations, meetings, and messages were needed to reach this point—and we’re still just at the beginning! None of this would have been possible without everyone who has read the books, supported the tweetstorms, and participated in this fandom over the years. So a huge thank you from me to every Alagaësian out there. You brought the thunder.”
In the years since the Eragon series was first announced, updates on the project have been few and far between.

Thankfully, last February, Paolini took to X to confirm that the series was still in development.
Now, we finally have another update.
The Creative Team Has Come Together

The series will be produced by 20th Television.
“When destiny selects an ordinary teenager to become the first Dragon Rider in over a hundred years, he must forge an unbreakable bond with his dragon, master ancient magic, and challenge the mad king who destroyed the Riders,” the show’s official tagline reads.
