Josh Gad Shares Exciting Update on ‘Frozen 3’
At 2024’s D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, Frozen fans got the news they had been waiting for when Jennifer Lee took the stage to announce that Frozen 3 and Frozen 4 were both in development.
“In this new chapter, witness the wedding of the century in Arendelle as Queen Anna walks down the aisle and joins Elsa on a new magical journey filled with unknown challenges,” the Frozen 3 synopsis reads.

Development Has Been Underway
While the historic success of Frozen 2 made additional sequels feel inevitable, Disney had spent years playing coy about the status of Frozen 3. With Lee’s announcement, however, it became clear that the studio has big plans for the franchise.
In the 17 months since Frozen 3 was announced, we’ve continued to learn more about the highly anticipated film.
The last time we checked in, Kristen Bell, Josh Gad, and Idina Menzel had officially signed on to reprise their respective roles as Anna, Olaf, and Elsa.

Josh Gad’s Latest Update
Amid a flurry of Disney activity yesterday, Josh Gad took to social media and confirmed that he will return for Frozen 3.
In a new Instagram post, Gad shared a photo with the Frozen 3 team.

As you can see, the group is surrounded by sketches of Olaf.
“3rd time is always the charm ☃️ Time to build another snowman,” Gad captioned the post.
