Josh D’Amaro and Bob Iger to Appear on ‘ABC World News Tonight’ After Today’s CEO Announcement
Disney’s long-gestating CEO search came to an end today when the company announced that Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro will succeed Bob Iger.
“Josh D’Amaro possesses that rare combination of inspiring leadership and innovation, a keen eye for strategic growth opportunities, and a deep passion for the Disney brand and its people, all of which make him the right person to take the helm as Disney’s next CEO,” said James Gorman, Chairman of The Walt Disney Company Board of Directors.

A New Era in Disney History
While Josh D’Amaro will officially assume his new position on March 18 at The Walt Disney Company Annual Meeting, we have continued to learn more about Disney’s plans for the future.

In addition to D’Amaro, Disney Entertainment Co-Chairman Dana Walden has also been promoted and will now serve as the company’s President and Chief Creative Officer.

Additionally, Disney has revealed the pay packages for both executives.
D’Amaro and Iger Will Appear on ABC Tonight
Just hours after the news became official, Josh D’Amaro will give his first interview as the newly christened CEO when he appears on ABC World News Tonight with David Muir.

According to ABC, he will be joined by Bob Iger. Earlier today, the departing CEO had nothing but praise for his successor.
