Australian Animals Are Coming to The Affection Section as Part of the New ‘Bluey’ Experience
While much attention has been paid to the closure of DinoLand, U.S.A., and the ongoing construction of Tropical Americas, on the other side of Disney’s Animal Kingdom, work is underway on another major project.
As we reported late last year, Bluey and Bingo are coming to Walt Disney World as part of a new experience coming to Conservation Station.

“Grab the whole family and snap some pictures alongside your Blue Heeler pals to remember this one-of-a-kind adventure,” Disney teased last year.

“Plus, as part of your wild excursion, step outside to discover an experience with animals native to Bluey’s home country of Australia!”
Changes Are Underway
With the Bluey experience set to debut this summer, we are already seeing operational changes at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
First, Walt Disney Imagineering filed new permits for the show.

Then we learned that the Wildlife Express will close for refurbishment on February 23.

Now, we have another update to share.

When the petting zoo reopens, it will feature animals native to Australia, which, after all, is Bluey’s home.
Animals that are currently part of the petting zoo will be rehomed when the attraction closes for refurbishment.
Update: When The Affection Section reopens, it will feature animals native to Australia, giving guests the chance to affectionately enjoy animals native to Bluey’s home.
