The Disney Adventure Makes History as the Largest Ship to Pass Through the Panama Canal
In just over one month, a new chapter in Disney Cruise Line history will begin when the Disney Adventure officially sets sail.
As the newest addition to the Disney Cruise Line fleet, the Adventure will make history as the first Disney ship to sail from Singapore, bringing Disney magic to an entirely new region of the world.

Onboard, guests will be immersed in seven uniquely themed areas: Town Square, San Fransokyo Street, Toy Story Place, Disney Discovery Reef, Wayfinder Bay, Disney Imagination Garden, and Marvel Landing.

Guests will also have the opportunity to see Disney’s first-ever castle at sea.
The Ship’s Launch Was Delayed
While the Disney Adventure was initially scheduled to make its maiden voyage on December 15, 2025, the ship’s launch was later delayed until March 10, 2026.

With just weeks to go until the ship’s debut, we have continued to learn more and more about the vessel.

Now, we are back with another update!
The Disney Adventure Makes History
While the Disney Adventure has yet to embark on its maiden voyage, the ship is already making history.

Today, the Disney Cruise Line vessel became the largest cruise ship to pass through the Panama Canal.
As the boat continued its repositioning cruise to Asia, it became the first 200,000-plus gross ton cruise ship to make the transit.

According to the Panama Canal Authority, the Disney Adventure (208,100 gross tons) is 40,000 gross tons larger than the Norwegian Bliss (168,000 gross tons), which was previously the largest vessel to pass through the canal.
That is quite the impressive feat!
What’s Next?
As of this writing, the Disney Adventure is on its way to Los Angeles, where it will make a port call on February 9.

3 Night Itinerary
From there, the vessel will head to Tokyo and then to Singapore for its March 10 maiden voyage.
I, for one, can’t wait!
