Details Revealed for Celebrate Soulfully Festivities in Disney World & Disneyland!
February is almost here, which means it’s almost time to celebrate Black History Month! Disney puts on their Celebrate Soulfully event in both Disney World and Disneyland, and we just found out more about this year’s festivities.

Walt Disney World
Toya Johnson-Rushing Named Grand Marshal for Special Magic Kingdom Parade
If you’re in Magic Kingdom on February 9th, you can check out the special parade happening in the park for one day only! Toya Johnson-Rushing has been named honorary Grand Marshal for the parade, which will move down Main Street, U.S.A., around 3PM.

You can expect to see a joyful, high-energy celebration featuring beloved Disney characters, lively music, dazzling displays, and plenty of Disney magic.

Also, be sure to check out Tiana’s Bayou Adventure while you’re in Magic Kingdom! You can see Princess Tiana, Naveen, Mama Odie, and jazz-loving Louis as you take a lively musical journey through the bayou.
Art at EPCOT
During EPCOT’s Festival of the Arts, you can see the following artists pushing the boundaries of creativity with bold, beautiful and eye-catching work:

- Larissa Brown
- Mark Page

DISNEY ON BROADWAY Concert Series
The Disney on Broadway Concert Series is back for Festival of the Arts and will feature performances from talented Black actors from shows like The Lion King and Aladdin on the stage at America Gardens Theatre. You can expect to see:
- Jelani Remy (The Lion King)
- Anastacia McCleskey (Tarzan) – NEW!
- Kissy Simmons (The Lion King)
- James Monroe Iglehart (Aladdin)

Dance to the Beat at Animal Kingdom
You can dance to some live music over at Animal Kingdom! Viva Gaia brings a Caribbean street party to Discovery Island with upbeat music and fun dance moves, while the Tam Tam Drummers of Harambe will be entertaining with their powerful beats and encouraging you to clap and dance along!

And remember that you can always meet a variety of characters in the parks, like Princess Tiana at Magic Kingdom, and Ariel from the live-action movie The Little Mermaid, along with Frozone from The Incredibles at Hollywood Studios.

You can also enjoy some food items that celebrate Black culture at Disney World in February! Some of these include:
- Soulful New York Cheesecake Pop (NEW) — Cheesecake Ganache layered with Graham Cracker Ganache enrobed in 65% Dark Chocolate

2026 Celebrate Gospel Concerts at Downtown Disney
The Celebrate Gospel concerts are returning for two weekends in 2026 — February 20-21 and February 27-28. You can see Grammy Award-winning gospel music performers headlining the two weekends, including Bishop Hezekiah Walker on February 21st…

This event also features community choirs from across Southern California.
Vibrant Displays Honoring Black Leaders
A brand-new heritage trail of displays will debut across Disneyland Resort in celebration of Black History Month. They will feature influential Black leaders, artists, and thinkers from the past and present.

Specialty Food
Enjoy some limited-time food options around Disneyland Resort that honor the rich stories of Black heritage. Here are a few options you can expect:
- Tiana’s Palace (Available Jan. 30 through March 2)
- French Quarter Fried Chicken Bowl: Spicy honey-glazed fried chicken served with baked macaroni and cheese and collard greens

Celebrate Black Heritage at Disneyland All Year Long
You can also celebrate Black heritage and culture all year long at Disneyland Resort! Meet Princess Tiana in New Orleans Square and take a ride on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Bayou Country at Disneyland Park.

Over in Disney California Adventure Park, check out the soulful singer Dime and her jazz quartet as Five & Dime perform hits on Buena Vista Street, or train with Black Panther’s personal guard during “Warriors of Wakanda: The Disciplines of the Dora Milaje” in Avengers Campus.

And, at select times in the afternoons and evenings, you may see Joe Gardner from Pixar’s Soul playing smooth jazz tunes in the lobby of Pixar Place Hotel.
