When to Visit
This is where many start to feel like they’re getting into the weeds. Planning for crowds, weather, and seasonal events can really affect your trip–for better or worse.
Here are some Disney Parks tips to keep in mind:
- Non-peak times typically mean shorter waits and lower crowds.
- If you have more flexibility, you can use the ticket calendar to find ticket options that work best for your budget.
- Consider booking your trip around festival seasons, which provide extra entertainment, treats, and experiences.
- Visit during your favorite season to dive into the themed offerings.
- Plan around special promotions or discounted dates, if possible.
- Keep hurricane season in mind when planning a Disney World trip.

Choose the Best Disney Resort
Where you stay can make your trip more magical! Staying within the “Disney bubble” from morning to night can keep the magic strong.
Here are some things to keep in mind when booking your Disney Resort:
- What are the transportation options?
- How close do we want to be to the parks?
- What on-site dining is offered?
- What activities are offered?

What to Book in Advance
We find that booking early helps you avoid stress. (No one wants to be scurrying around for dining reservations while on a trip!)
Of course, you need your park tickets or cruise reservations, and booking a room is a must. But you can’t forget to also:
- Book park reservations, if required.
- Book dining reservations, as these tend to fill up quickly.
- Book tours and other special experiences.

Plan Around Your Party
Your travel party will impact how your vacation looks. Those experiencing a Disney vacation for the first time may want a basic itinerary, while experts may attempt to fill their trip with everything possible.
Families may want a more kid-centered trip, with plenty of time etched in for breaks and activities, while adults may want to focus more on dining, festivals, and other calmer experiences.
