Wilderness Lodge Boat Transportation Opens Early
Great news! If you are lucky enough to be staying at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge right now, your transportation options have just opened up.
The Wilderness Lodge boat transportation was under refurbishment for the past few weeks and has opened early.
Dock Closure
If you follow MickeyBlog, you already know that Disney’s Wilderness Lodge has been undergoing refurbishment work since last summer, with ongoing updates designed to refresh the popular resort.
One of the biggest impacts for visitors has been the resort’s main boat dock, which provides the popular water launch service between the lodge and Magic Kingdom.
The dock was originally scheduled to close for routine maintenance periodically from January 12 through April 2026, temporarily suspending boat transportation during that window. The initial dock closure was scheduled for January 12-30, 2026.
The good news? The dock has reopened earlier than planned, meaning water launches are back up and running about 4 days ahead of schedule.
This is a small change with a big impact, allowing guests another way to get back to the resort!
