PHOTOS: The Refurbished Garden View Lounge Continues to Come Together at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort
If you’ve been reading along here at MickeyBlog, you know that we’ve been closely following the refurbishment of the Grand Floridian lobby.
The goal of the renovation is to give the resort’s central space a refreshed look, while still preserving the elegant ambiance and Victorian theme that have long defined Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.

To achieve this, the furniture, staircase, and front desk are being updated with botanical accents and warm, inviting colors, helping to create an airy, garden-like atmosphere.
The Garden View Lounge
As part of the broader refurbishment, Disney has also refreshed the look of the resort’s Garden View Lounge.
The last time we checked in on the project, Disney revealed that the Garden View Lounge Tea Experience would return on March 19.

A Look at the Refurbished Lounge
When visiting Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort this morning, we were thrilled to see that significant progress has been made on the Garden View Lounge refurbishment.

As we previously reported, guests are greeted by beautiful stained-glass windows when approaching the lounge.

Here’s another look at the windows.

As you can see, they depict nature scenes featuring birds.

The lounge continues to be sponsored by Twinings.

Near the entrance, a decorative birdcage is now on display.
Further inside, we caught a glimpse of the refurbished furniture.

Here’s another look.
The entire area remains open, with natural light pouring in.
Seating throughout the space includes a mix of booths and tables.
While it will still be a few weeks before the lounge officially reopens, everything appears nearly ready.
All in all, the refurbished area looks gorgeous.
