We opened and closed out Disney California Adventure (DCA) yesterday, just so we could experience everything the first day of the festival had to offer!

We attended the celebration’s media event (and took you with us), finally met Red Panda Mei and some other festive characters, tried new festival bites, shopped through exclusive merchandise, and watched the Lunar New Year procession.
But there was only one way to end our night–with the “Hurry Home – A Lunar New Year Celebration” water short!

Through February 22nd, guests can watch the “Hurry Home – A Lunar New Year Celebration” water short before “World of Color Happiness!”
Of course, as the name suggests, this is one of the 2026 Lunar New Year offerings.

The water short features music by Academy Award-winning composer Tan Dun!

The short follows a little lantern, which wishes to reunite with its family in time for the annual celebration of good luck and fortune.
Since this is just a pre-show and not the actual water show for the night, it’s short but sweet!
