PHOTOS: 20 Years of Scares Buttons Passed Out in Disney California Adventure!
Disney California Adventure (DCA) is about to look a lot different.

Avengers Campus is in the middle of an expansion–bringing two new attractions to the land, the first-ever Coco ride will float into the area between Paradise Gardens Park and the Incredicoaster, and a brand-new Avatar land will take over a portion of the Hollywood Backlot.
While exciting, one of these projects requires the closure of a fan-favorite attraction, and Disney is already prepping guests for its closure. Let’s see how.
“20 Years of Scares” Buttons – Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue!
Last night, we visited Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue!–as one does every time they pass through the Hollywood Backlot due to the attraction’s impending closure–and we got quite the (bittersweet) surprise!
But first–let’s take a ride together!
Okay–now it’s time for the surprise! Cast Members at the attraction had a limited supply of “20 Years of Scares” buttons, both celebrating the attraction’s tenure in the park and commemorating the end of its run.
Everyone’s favorite undercover agent, Roz, is the center of focus on this button. (As she should be–her appearance at the end of the ride is our favorite part.)

News spread about these buttons fast, so the supply ran out quickly; however, we were lucky enough to get one!
Keep in mind–there is still no set closure date for this attraction. We only know the ride will close sometime in early 2026.
