WATCH: Kermit and Friends Work Out the Kinks in New ‘Muppet Show’ Trailer
2026 is already shaping up to be a banner year for Muppet fans, as Jim Henson’s beloved crew will return next month for a highly anticipated revival of The Muppet Show.
To coincide with the 50th anniversary of the original series, Kermit and the gang are heading back to the Muppet Theatre to do what they do best- entertain.

“’The Muppet Show’ pilot is set to reintroduce the beloved characters with a fresh twist. The show will blend classic charm with new comedic sketches. The project aims to capture the heart and humor that made the original a cultural icon,” an early description for the show explained.
A Star-Studded Cast
The upcoming revival of The Muppet Show will feature Sabrina Carpenter as the special guest star and will see the return of veteran Muppet performers Bill Barretta, Dave Goelz, Eric Jacobson, Peter Linz, David Rudman, and Matt Vogel.

The Second Trailer Has Arrived
With just weeks to go until The Muppet Show makes its triumphant return, a second trailer for the revival has now been released.

The clip begins with Kermit reminiscing about the memories he has made at the Muppet Theatre.
As it turns out, the sentimental music playing in the background is coming from Rowlf, who tells Kermit that it is time to put on a show.

From there, classic Muppet mayhem quickly ensues.

In addition to a longer version of the Sabrina Carpenter and Miss Piggy scene previously shown, the trailer also provides a first look at the Great Gonzo in action, along with appearances from Maya Rudolph and Statler and Waldorf in their iconic balcony seats.
