‘Disneyland Handcrafted’ Is Now Streaming on Disney+ and YouTube
If you’re a frequent reader here at MickeyBlog, you know we’ve been eagerly awaiting the debut of Disneyland Handcrafted.
The latest documentary from Leslie Iwerks transports audiences back to 1955, as Walt Disney and his team race against the clock to bring Disneyland to life in time for opening day.

Highlighting the extraordinary artistry, innovation, and grit required to turn Walt Disney’s dream into reality, the film chronicles Disneyland’s creation from groundbreaking through Opening Day.
“Through newly unearthed materials from the Walt Disney Archives, Iwerks and her team uncovered long-forgotten 16mm film reels and audio recordings,” the documentary’s synopsis reads.

“The result is an unpolished, fly-on-the-wall perspective that reveals what was truly happening behind the scenes, told through the firsthand accounts of the artists, craftsmen, and Imagineers who were there.”
