The Secrets of Mickey and Minniey’s Runaway Railway
In the latest episode of WED Walks, the men and women who brought Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway to life give fans a behind-the-scenes look at the attraction.
According to Imagineer Matt, Runaway Railway actually contains more Hidden Mickeys than any other Disney attraction.

Perhaps even more interesting, the effect used to bring guests “into” the cartoon during the Runaway Railway preshow was first tested inside the Chinese Theatre itself.
If you look closely at the effect, guests can actually see the screen tear apart!

The screen “explodes!”
Once inside the attraction, Imagineers shared that Runaway Railway was the first ride to combine projection with UV prints and UV paint.
According to Imagineer Jillian, part of the joy of creating the attraction’s opening scene was finding a way to bring “daylight” into an indoor space.
