Disney Fun Facts and Flavors for National Popcorn Day
I love a holiday where I can celebrate with treats, and there is something special happening today. It is National Popcorn Day, and we are ready to indulge!
Every year on January 19th, popcorn lovers everywhere take a moment to celebrate one of the most iconic snacks of all time.
Popcorn at Magic Kingdom
And if there’s one thing Disney fans love, it’s a tasty treat like popcorn.
From the smell of fresh kernels popping on Main Street, U.S.A., to grabbing a bag while strolling through EPCOT’s World Showcase, popcorn is a Disney Parks essential.

Even better? Disney fans don’t just love the snack, they love collecting the souvenir buckets that come with it!
Fun Facts
Here’s a fun fact: Walt Disney World Resort pops over 5 million bags of popcorn every year, which equals more than 845,000 pounds!
That’s a lot of buttery goodness.

Popcorn is also a great option for many guests since it’s vegan and gluten-free, and Disney pops it using a blend of coconut, canola, and corn oil.
Popcorn has been part of the Disney Parks experience since Disneyland opened back in 1955, and it’s still going strong today.

You can even bring the magic home with you since Pop Secret is the official popcorn of the Disney Parks.
Is it me, or does it somehow taste better when you’re walking down the middle of Main Street!
Fun and Flavors

There are so many great ways to enjoy this snack, and Disney always delivers!

During the holidays, guests can snack on seasonal sweets or head to the Canada Pavilion for Maple Popcorn with a sweet twist.
Werther’s Original Caramel Popcorn – Karamell-Küche
If caramel is your go-to, Karamell-Küche in EPCOT’s Germany Pavilion serves up a delicious version that’s perfect for sweet-seekers.

Want something extra indulgent? The Cake Bake Shop on Disney’s BoardWalk even added a Caramel Popcorn Chocolate Cake to its Fall menu, topped with playful popcorn for a fun finish.

Disneyland has gotten really creative with spicy pickle popcorn during Halloween. Enjoy popcorn tossed with crushed hot cheese puffs and dill pickle seasoning for a bold snack experience.

And for something colorful with a kick, Kat Saka’s Kettle at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is another must-try.

Spring Popcorn Mix
You can even customize your own popcorn mix at Magic Kingdom’s Main Street Confectionery, making your snack as unique as your Disney day!

Disney Popcorn Buckets
In addition to this tasty stack, Disney fans love their collectibles, especially popcorn buckets.

No matter when and where you’re visiting, a fun Disney treat and collectible popcorn is probably available.
