‘Zootopia 2’ Is Now the Highest-Grossing Hollywood Animated Film EVER
Nearly two months after the film hit theaters, Zootopia 2 has made box-office history.
Released over the week of Thanksgiving, the latest Disney animated blockbuster reunites audiences with Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps, who find themselves tracking the “twisting trail of a mysterious reptile who arrives in Zootopia and turns the mammal metropolis upside down.”

“To crack the case, Judy and Nick must go undercover to unexpected new parts of town. Where their growing partnership is tested like never before,” the movie’s synopsis explains.
A Record-Breaking Box Office Run
As we have reported extensively, Zootopia 2 has been nothing short of a box office behemoth. Fueled by unprecedented success at the Chinese box office, the film has broken numerous box-office records.

Already, Zootopia 2 has surpassed numerous milestones, including becoming Walt Disney Animation’s highest-grossing film ever.
Yesterday, the film surpassed Jurassic World to become the tenth highest-grossing film of all time.

Now, the film has made history.
Passing ‘Inside Out 2’
After earning $12 million this weekend, Zootopia 2 has surpassed Inside Out 2 to become the highest-grossing Hollywood animated film of all time.

Eight weekends after the film hit theaters, the Zootopia sequel has grossed more than $1.7 billion.
Breaking that total down, the film has made more than $400 million domestically and $1.3 billion overseas.

Notably, Inside Out 2 made over $200 million more than Zootopia 2 domestically.
The latter film, however, dominated the box office in China and Asia, fueling a historic international gross.
