Shanghai Disney Resort Celebrates New Year and Spring Festival With New Offerings
Exciting international Disney news! Shanghai Disney Resort is ringing in the Year of the Horse with a full Spring Festival celebration, and Disney fans are ready.
From January 28 through March 3, 2026, guests can catch festive décor, seasonal entertainment, special food, and limited-time merchandise across Shanghai Disneyland and the resort hotels.

Celebrate 2026!

This year’s zodiac star is Bullseye from Toy Story, and he is making his Shanghai Disney Resort debut! He arrives on January 28 during an exclusive Welcome Moment at the Pepsi E-Stage.
Keep your eyes open! Bullseye is also making surprise appearances during the daily Spring Festival Drum Ceremony and around Disney·Pixar Toy Story Land. Guests will love the special Bullseye-themed decorations!
All around the park, guests will be immersed in bold red-and-gold decorations, horse-shaped lanterns, and a giant lantern display in the Gardens of Imagination. So many great photo ops!

There are more tie-ins to the Year of the Horse!
Guests can see fun touches inspired by Zootopia, including hidden surprises featuring new characters and the new mayor, Brian Winddancer.
Entertainment
Entertainment highlights include the return of Spring Festival Celebration: “Our Families” from February 16 through March 3, featuring a fireworks show that lights up the sky with the Chinese character for “horse.”

The Adventure of Rhythm also returns to Adventure Isle from January 16 to March 1, and BDX Droids arrive in Tomorrowland starting February 17 for a limited time.
Disney friends embrace the Year of the Horse spirit with new festive outfits to share joy and blessings with guests. They honor the tradition of welcoming the Spring Festival in fresh, lucky attire.

To celebrate, Mickey and Friends are donning vibrant Chinese-style outfits with rich horse-themed cultural details during shows and meet-and-greets.
Duffy and Friends are wearing traditional Chinese looks with patterns of the Year of the Horse. Over in the Hundred Acre Wood, Winnie the Pooh and Friends are embracing a warm, festive style in cozy apparel!

You will probably be hungry with all of this New Year’s fun! Guests can fuel up with Spring Festival reunion feasts, and sweet treats will be available across the resort.
Embrace the tradition of enjoying oranges for good luck during the new year with items like delicious Mandarin sorbets and Kumquat ice cream at Il Paperino, or Orange and Hawthorn Crepe with Strawberry Ice Cream at CookieAnn Bakery Café.

More sweets? Fans of Zootopia 2 can also enjoy the playful Winddancer Cotton Candy and Hot Chocolate with Winddancer
