Francesca’s Disney Springs Location to Close Amid Parent Chain’s Bankruptcy Plans
If you’re a frequent Walt Disney World visitor, you know there’s nothing quite like a trip to Disney Springs.
As The Most Magical Place on Earth’s premier shopping and dining district, Disney Springs is home to an incredible lineup of unique stores and world-class cuisine. In total, the area boasts more than 150 restaurants and over 60 shops.

With so many locales, Disney Springs is constantly changing.
Over the last several weeks, we have seen a new covered snack stand debut, Sprinkles Cupcakes close, and Gideon’s announce a new location.
Now, we have another change to report.
Francesca’s Is Closing All of Its Stores
Francesca’s, the once-popular mall chain, is closing all of its locations and liquidating its assets.

The surprise closing comes after the chain was unable to pay its vendors.
According to a report from The Street, Francesca’s, which currently operates more than 450 stores, has not yet filed for bankruptcy, but is expected to do so as soon as Tuesday, January 20.

After burning through its inventory with “last chance” sales, the franchise is expected to shut down. Previously, Francesca’s filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2020.
The Disney Springs Location Will Close
With Francesca’s ceasing operations shortly, the Disney Springs location will be closing.

A Francesca’s has been located in Town Square since the debut of Disney Springs in 2016.
At this time, it is unclear when exactly the store will close or if Disney has any plans for its replacement.

After a decade of operation, however, it appears a new tenant will soon move into Town Square.
