‘Zootopia 2’ Is Now One of the 10 Highest-Grossing Movies of All Time
While much of Hollywood’s attention has shifted to Avatar: Fire and Ash, which just topped the domestic box office for the fifth straight weekend, Zootopia 2’s historic theatrical run has quietly continued.
Released to theaters over Thanksgiving, the latest Disney animated blockbuster reunites audiences with Nick Wilde. In the film, the duo finds themselves tracking the “twisting trail of a mysterious reptile who arrives in Zootopia and turns the mammal metropolis upside down.”

“To crack the case, Judy and Nick must go undercover to unexpected new parts of town. Where their growing partnership is tested like never before,” the movie’s synopsis explains.
A Box Office Behemoth

Since that time, the film has maintained its momentum. The last time we checked in, the film had grossed north of $1.654 billion and was the twelfth-highest-grossing movie of all time.

Now, we are back with another update!
A ‘Zootopia’ Milestone
After another successful weekend in theaters, Zootopia 2 has now surpassed Jurassic World ($1.67 billion) to crack the top ten highest-grossing films ever!

The big question now is whether the film can catch Inside Out 2 ($1.699 billion) to become the highest-grossing animated film of all time.
Either way, Zootopia 2 has proven itself a true blockbuster and has already become the biggest Hollywood film in Chinese box-office history.

As the film’s theatrical release winds down, Disney has every reason to be optimistic about the future of animation.
