Fans Can See ‘Disneyland Handcrafted’ Early at Exclusive Burbank AMC Screenings
If you have been reading along here at MickeyBlog over the past couple of weeks, you know how excited we are for the debut of Disneyland Handcrafted next week.
The latest documentary from Leslie Iwerks, Disneyland Handcrafted, will transport audiences back to 1955 as Walt Disney and his team struggle to bring Disneyland to life in time for opening day.

Highlighting the extraordinary artistry and grit that it took to make Walt Disney’s dream a reality, the documentary will chronicle the creation of Disneyland from groundbreaking to Opening Day.

“Through newly unearthed materials from the Walt Disney Archives, Iwerks and her team uncovered long-forgotten 16mm film reels and audio recordings,” the documentary’s synopsis reads.
“The result is an unpolished, fly-on-the-wall perspective that captures what was truly happening behind the scenes, told through the firsthand accounts of the artists, craftsmen, and Imagineers who were there.”
The Documentary Will Debut on Disney+ Next Week
After a successful premiere last week, Disneyland Handcrafted will soon be released to the masses.

While the easiest way to watch the documentary will be to tune in to Disney+ or the Disney YouTube channel on January 22, there is a way to see Disneyland Handcrafted early.
The AMC Burbank Is Hosting Early Screenings
From January 14 through January 20, 2026, Disneyland Handcrafted will be screened at the AMC Burbank Town Center 8.

Looking at the official AMC website, there will be three to four showings a day, with the majority of the screenings taking place in the afternoon.
As Burbank is home to Walt Disney Studios, it makes sense that the documentary will be screened there first.

While the rest of us will have to wait a bit longer to see Disneyland Handcrafted, it should be worth it.
