Space Ranger Spin’s Hyperspace Scene
Walt Disney Imagineering took to Instagram today to preview the updated hyperspace scene coming to Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin.

Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin at Magic Kingdom
For those who don’t know, the iconic scene was actually first included in the attraction as a holdover from its predecessor.
Before Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin opened, the attraction was known as If You Had Wings.

Onboard the latter attraction, guests would head through a “speed tunnel.”
The infrastructure from this scene was reused to create the new hyperspace scene for Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin.
Upgrades Are Coming!
When Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin reopens, the hyperspace scene will now feature an upgraded space battle.

For the first time ever, Buzz will now join Space Rangers as they do battle with the Evil Emperor Zurg.
Additionally, the galactic villain will deploy “space mines” that guests can shoot for more points!
