More Steel Added to New ‘Encanto’ Ride Coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom
A major transformation is currently happening over in Disney’s Animal Kingdom! DinoLand, U.S.A. is on its way to becoming the new Tropical Americas land.

Almost the entirety of the land is under construction right now, with the remainder (the area featuring the Dinosaur attraction and Restaurantosaurus) shutting down in February for work to continue. Today, we noticed some progress happening on one of the new attractions coming to the land!
Construction Progress on Encanto Ride
A new Encanto-themed attraction is coming to the Tropical Americas land! It was announced to be a new dark ride that invites guests into Casa Madrigal on the day that Antonio received his gift to communicate with animals.
Inside of the ride, you will get to see his room transformed into a tropical rainforest.

Last month, we reported on the structure for the ride finally going vertical during construction. We could actually see it over the walls!

Progress in mid-December
And today, we have another exciting update — even more has been added to the structure!

You can see that the structure is being built out with more steel.

It’s very fun to see progress being made!

But, it’s obviously still got a very long way to go.

That’s okay, though, because this new ride will not open up until 2027, along with the rest of Tropical Americas.
