Tokyo Disney Resort Has Welcomed Its 900 Millionth Guest
On April 15, 1983, a new chapter in Disney history began when Tokyo Disney Resort welcomed its first guests.
As the first international Disney Park, there was no guarantee that Tokyo Disneyland would succeed. Thanks to the global appeal of Disney and the management of the Oriental Land Company, however, the park was a phenomenon.

An undeniable success, Tokyo Disneyland quickly became one of the premier destinations in Japan, and, perhaps more importantly, created the blueprint for future international Disney Parks.
A Major Milestone
Since that fateful day in 1982, Tokyo Disneyland has continued to grow and expand in exciting ways. Along the way, the resort has cultivated generations of fans, inspired millions, and served as the backdrop for innumerable celebrations.

Plenty to Celebrate
The milestone comes at a magical time in the resort’s history, as Tokyo Disneyland is still celebrating the recent opening of Fantasy Springs and Tokyo DisneySea is preparing for its 25th anniversary!

The park is also celebrating the 20th anniversary of Duffy and Friends with “Colorful Happiness.”
Needless to say, Tokyo Disney fans have every reason to be excited.

I, for one, can’t wait to see what the park’s future holds as it prepares to welcome its next nine million guests.
