Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach Will Once Again Open Simultaneously This Summer
As the new year unfolds, many guests are putting the finishing touches on their 2026 Walt Disney World vacations.
With Spring Break just around the corner and another summer at The Most Magical Place on Earth on the horizon, Disney has begun sharing more details about its plans for the year.
Earlier today, we brought you the news that guests visiting Walt Disney World this summer will receive free water park admission on the day they check in.

Now, we have even more exciting news to share.
Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach Will Open Simultaneously This Summer
With the return of Cool Kids’ Summer this year, both of Walt Disney World’s water parks will be open simultaneously again.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic, Walt Disney World has usually operated only one water park at a time. Currently, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon is open, while Blizzard Beach is closed for refurbishment.
On February 15, 2026, Typhoon Lagoon will close, and Blizzard Beach will reopen.

Last year, however, as part of Cool Kids’ Summer, both Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach opened simultaneously for the first time since 2019.

Now, we can officially confirm that both water parks will again be open at the same time this summer!
What Is the Water Park Schedule?
While the exact timeline for the water parks remains to be seen, fans will be able to visit both Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach for some fun in the sun later this year.
Cool Kids’ Summer lasts from May 26 to September 8, 2026, so we anticipate that the water park dates will be similar!
