Disney Says the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular! “Will be Modified” Following Boulder Incident
A harrowing incident occurred at Disney’s Hollywood Studios yesterday, when the 400-pound rubber boulder used in the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular derailed from its track and began to roll towards the audience.
Thankfully, disaster was averted when a heroic Cast Member named Robert put himself in harm’s way, bravely standing in front of the boulder to stop it from rolling into the crowd below.

The Aftermath
In the aftermath of the incident, we have learned that Robert received six stitches and is now recovering in the hospital.
As news of the accident spread, Disney stated that its safety team would review the attraction.
“Safety Is at the Heart of What We Do”
When the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular! reopened this morning, the boulder stunt was not performed.

While it is likely the iconic scene will return, Disney released a statement about the situation, hinting that changes are on the way.
“We’re focused on supporting our cast member, who is recovering. Safety is at the heart of what we do, and that element of the show will be modified as our safety team completes a review of what happened,” Disney said (via Scott Gustin on X).

At this time, it remains unclear how the boulder got derailed. Nevertheless, it is good to hear that Disney is reviewing the safety precautions in place and will make necessary adjustments.
