Talaya Gaines Returns To ESPN as Vice President, Talent Relations and Development
Former ESPN executive Talaya Gaines is returning to the Worldwide Leader as Vice President, Talent Relations and Development.
An 18-year industry veteran, Gaines previously spent 14 years at ESPN, most recently serving as Managing Producer, ESPN+ and Original Content.

She previously left the network to serve as Vice President, Content Strategy and Original Programming for MSG Networks.
Gaines’ New Role
In her new position, Gaines will focus on talent management, development, and recruitment. Working closely with content leaders, she will report to Freddy Rolón, ESPN’s Head of Global Sports and Talent Office.
She will assume her new role on January 5.

A Storied Career
Over the course of her storied career, Gaines has won three Emmy Awards. Additionally, her leadership has been recognized by Essence Magazine as part of its The Women’s Playbook issue.

Finally, she was named one of the ‘Top Women in Media’ by Cynopsis in 2024.
ESPN’s Talent Office Expansion
As ESPN continues to invest in its Talent Office expansion, it has also appointed Rosetta Ellis-Pilie as Vice President, Talent Negotiations and Policy.
