The Interactive Sagittaria Have Returned to Pandora at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

If you had the opportunity to visit Pandora: The World of Avatar when it first opened in 2017, you know the land was unlike anything Disney had built before.

Perhaps the most immersive land in Walt Disney World, walking through Pandora really felt like you had been transported to another planet, one where you were surrounded by living, breathing creatures.

From the floating mountains to the peaceful gardens, Pandora was a world waiting to be explored, with adventure seemingly around every corner.

While the Pandora of 2025 is still an amazing place to visit, time has dulled some of the elements that made the land so spectacular.

As you would expect, eight years after opening, the land has some wear and tear. Additionally, minor effects around Pandora have gone missing over the years.

Remember the Sagittaria?

For example, the aquatic Sagittaria that guests could find spitting water in Pandora’s pond were removed last year.

While the water spitting effect had been broken for a while, and the Sagittaria had dwindled in number over the years, I always liked to point out the creatures when stopping by Animal Kingdom.

With that in mind, I have exciting news to share.

The Creatures Have Returned!

When visiting Pandora today, we were thrilled to see that the Sagittaria have returned to their rightful place in the land.

Once again, the pair of cephalopods can be found floating in the Pandora pond.

Even more excitingly, their water spraying effects are working again! The water jet is activated when guests make a sudden arm movement.

Here is another look at the interactive creatures.

This is the kind of detail that makes Pandora such an exciting place to explore.

It is great to see the creatures back home in Pandora.
