These Domestic Airports Allow Friends and Family To Accompany Passengers To Their Gate
For the first time in over two decades, numerous airports across the country are allowing friends and family to see their loved ones off.
As explained in a new report from Travel and Tour World, Oakland, Kansas City, Seattle-Tacoma, New Orleans, and other airports are bringing back “guest passes.”

For those who may not remember, before the September 11 attacks, friends and family could accompany passengers past security to the gate.
This not only made traveling more enjoyable but also led to many of the joys of air travel.

Now that guest passes have been reintroduced, these cherished memories can happen again.
How the Passes Work
To obtain a guest pass, visitors must first apply online, providing their information and a TSA-approved ID.

While guest passes are not exactly the same as the open terminals that passengers enjoyed before 9/11, they are a step in the right direction.
