Disney+ Announces “First-of-Its-Kind” Bundle in the Middle East
As The Walt Disney Company continues to navigate an ever-changing media landscape, Bob Iger and his team have made a concerted effort to invest in regional content.
To that end, over the past 11 months, Disney+ has launched 100 new series across more than 20 territories.

Additionally, however, Disney has also partnered with regional media companies to give subscribers even more local content.
This year, the streamer has reached deals with ITV in the United Kingdom, Atresmedia in Spain, Nordisk in the Nordics, and ZDF Studios in Germany.

Now, we can add another company to that list.
Disney’s New Middle East Bundle
Early this morning, Disney+ announced that it will be collaborating with Shahid and OSN+ in the Middle East to create a “first-of-its-kind” streaming bundle.

The new plan will be available across the GCC, allowing users to access all three apps via Shahid.
“For over a century, The Walt Disney Company has entertained the world with the greatest stories, which now live on Disney+,” said Karl Holmes, SVP and General Manager, Disney+ EMEA.

“The collaboration between Disney+ and Shahid brings our award-winning series like FX’s Shōgun and iconic, blockbuster movies such Lilo & Stitch into a unique bundle with Shahid’s premium content including Al Dariya.”
The Strategy Continues
As Disney continues to expand Disney+’s global reach, it has increasingly leaned into collaborations and bundles.

The goal is to attract as many subscribers as possible, giving them the best bang for their buck.
“This agreement reflects a shared ambition between Disney+ and Shahid to shape the future of entertainment in the Middle East. The Middle East is young, dynamic and fast-growing, and we’re delighted to give consumers a new and easy way to access extraordinary content at exceptional value,” Holmes concluded.
