Disney has just announced a new one-hour documentary special titled “The Rob Reiner Story: A Hollywood Tragedy.”
The ABC News Special was produced in response to the recent and untimely deaths of Rob Reiner and his wife, who were found dead in their Brentwood home over the weekend.

The documentary examines the circumstances surrounding their deaths and the ongoing investigation, while also honoring Reiner’s lasting impact on television and film.
Authorities have arrested the couple’s son, Nick Reiner, in connection with the killings. At the time of release, he has not entered a plea.

The documentary also explores Reiner’s relationship with his son, including their collaboration on the 2015 film Being Charlie, which addressed addiction and family struggles drawn from personal experience.

The special includes interviews with friends and celebs, including Corey Feldman, who starred in Stand By Me, along with ABC News contributors Chris Connelly and Larry Hackett.
“The Rob Reiner Story: A Hollywood Tragedy” airs Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at 10 p.m. EST on ABC. The documentary will be available to stream the following day on Disney+ and Hulu.
