A Fan-Favorite Magic Kingdom Meet and Greet Is Closing Early Next Year
When Storybook Circus rolled into Magic Kingdom in 2012, it brought Pete’s Silly Sideshow with it.
Replacing the Mickey’s Toontown Fair Judge’s Tent, Pete’s Silly Sideshow is a permanent meet-and-greet location that lets fans meet their favorite Disney characters.
Unlike many of the Mickey and Friends meet and greets located throughout Walt Disney World, at Storybook Circus, fans have the opportunity to meet Minnie, Daisy, Donald, and Goofy in special carnival-themed costumes.
Daring and Dashing Disney Pals
When approaching Pete’s Silly Sideshow, there are two lines that guests can join. The first features Minnie Magnifique (poodle-trainer Minnie) and Madame Daisy Fortuna (fortune-teller Daisy).
The second line features The Great Goofini (stunt pilot Goofy) and The Astounding Donaldo (Donald as a snake charmer).
Since 2012, guests have flocked to Pete’s Silly Sideshow to meet their favorite characters. Early next year, however, things will change temporarily.
Pete’s Silly Sideshow Is Closing For Refurbishment
According to a Walt Disney World website update, Pete’s Silly Sideshow will temporarily close on January 5.
At this time, the Daring Disney Pals (Goofy and Donald) and the Dashing Disney Pals (Daisy and Minnie) will be temporarily unavailable.
The good news for fans is that Daisy, Minnie, Goofy, and Donald will continue to meet guests in a temporary Storybook Circus location.
Based on how the website reads, however, they will not be in their Pete’s Silly Sideshow costumes. Finally, it is unclear when the regular meet-and-greet will return.
