Walt Disney World Wait Times for Early December 2025
Here’s something you may not know about Disney tourists.
Generally speaking, a dead zone occurs immediately after Thanksgiving.

People who can visit Disney during the holiday season do so, but they prefer the holidays.
Since workers get federal holidays off, they can maximize their vacation days.

Because of this, the time after Thanksgiving but before the 12 Days of Christmas is usually slower.
Did that happen this past week? Let’s find out!

Here are Walt Disney World’s wait times for early December 2025.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom

We just got some huuuuge news at Animal Kingdom the other day.
Bluey is coming to Conservation Station! No, I’m not joking.

In one fell swoop, Disney provided Animal Kingdom’s target demographic with a reason to visit next year.
With Animal Kingdom currently in flux, I’d anticipated dwindling attendance in 2026.

That is no longer the case, at least not as soon as Bluey arrives in the summer.
Until then, Animal Kingdom should continue to slow, though, as it heads toward shutting down DinoLand USA.

Mickey and Minnie in their holiday best!
So, how were the crowds last week? Let’s check.
- Avatar Flight of Passage – 53 minutes, down 28
- Na’vi River Journey – 47 minutes, down 9
- Kilimanjaro Safaris – 39 minutes, down 6
- Adventurers Outpost – 35 minutes, no change
- Zootopia: Better Zoogether! – 31 minutes, up 7
- Expedition Everest – 27 minutes, down 16
- DINOSAUR – 17 minutes, down 14

Overall, guests stood in line for an average of 36 minutes per attraction.
That’s nine minutes less than last week, which is perfectly normal at this time of year.

Disney
Still, I should mention the (possibly literal) elephant in the room, Better Zoogether.
The Disney blockbuster Zootopia 2 will pass $1 billion at the box office faster than any other Hollywood release this year.

Disney
Understandably, its surging popularity had a spillover effect at the attraction.
Give Disney credit. Park officials timed this one perfectly.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios

This park will also get better next year, as Disney confirmed some new details.
For starters, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith has mainly dropped the Aerosmith part.

There’s no pre-show for the attraction now, as guests simply get in line for the ride instead.
Then, the roller coaster will temporarily close next spring before reopening in its new form.

Disney has explicitly stated that Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets will debut next summer.
So, we’ve got another situation where the park will grow more crowded once the new experience debuts.

Here are the average wait times at Hollywood Studios last week:
- Slinky Dog Dash – 62 minutes, down 22
- Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance – 54 minutes, down 17
- Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway – 49 minutes, down 6

- Star Tours – The Adventures Continue! – 9 minutes, down 8

Overall, park guests waited for an average of 39 minutes per attraction.
That’s ten minutes less than last time, which is again standard behavior after Thanksgiving.

By the way, this park will get one more boost next May when Smugglers Run gets a new mission.
Disney just revealed that the updated version of the ride will debut at the same time as the new movie.
So, that will be The Mandalorian & Grogu week for Disney and its fans.
EPCOT

Last week represents the first full week of the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays.
Theoretically, this park has a reason to hold its audience more than the rest of Walt Disney World.

Historically, that hasn’t been the case, though. The reason is straightforward.
Festival of the Holidays is more about sustaining crowds rather than drawing irregular tourists to the park.

So, is that what happened last week? Here are EPCOT’s average wait times:
- Test Track – 72 minutes, down 18
- Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind – 63 minutes, down 19
- Frozen Ever After – 54 minutes, down 8
- Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure – 52 minutes, down 15

- Journey into Imagination with Figment – 13 minutes, no change
- Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros – 12 minutes, up 1

Overall, EPCOT guests spent an average of 34 minutes per attraction.
That’s five minutes less than last time, an indication that the festival did attract tourists.

EPCOT didn’t drop anywhere near as much as Hollywood Studios or Animal Kingdom.
Magic Kingdom

Final Thoughts

Photo: Disney Parks
Overall, guests at the Most Magical Place on Earth waited for an average of 26 minutes per attraction.
That’s a drop of just three minutes from Thanksgiving week, which is the best hold of any park.

You should expect one more week of lower attendance before Disney World picks up steam.
