Disney Nominates Former Apple Executive Jeff Williams To Its Board of Directors
Just months after retiring from Apple, former COO Jeff Williams has found a new gig.
Today, Williams was nominated to join the Walt Disney Company board as an independent director.

The longtime tech executive will stand for election at Disney’s 2026 annual meeting. Should shareholders approve his appointment, the Disney board of directors will expand from 10 to 11.
Current board members include James Gorman, Mary Barra, Amy Chang, Carolyn Everson, Michael Froman, Elena Lagomasino, Calvin McDonald, Derica Rice, Jeremy Darroch, and Bob Iger.

“Jeff Williams is a highly accomplished executive who for decades helped steward one of the most innovative and admired companies that serves billions of consumers across the globe,” said Gorman, who currently serves as Disney’s chairman of the board.

While Disney and Apple are, in many ways, rivals, there have been numerous vital connections between the two companies over the years.
