Family Beach Cabanas Renamed Sandcastle Cabanas at Disney Castaway Cay
Disney Castaway Cay has introduced a new name for its popular Family Beach Cabanas.
They are now called Sandcastle Cabanas, bringing a more playful theme to one of the island’s most popular amenities.
The Details
Disney Cruise fans will notice a small update on their next cruise. Family Beach Cabanas are now called Sandcastle Cabanas.
When booking a Sandcastle Cabana online, guests go to My Cruise Activities and now see the cabanas listed as: Castaway Cay-Sandcastle Cabana (cabana number) – Family.

The update also appears on the latest map of Castaway Cay, where guests will see these cabanas listed alongside Mickey and Minnie Cove cabanas.
Booking remains reservation-based and subject to availability; only guests included on the reservation can be selected when reserving a cabana online.
More guests (up to ten) can be added once onboard at the Port Adventures Desk or at Guest Services.
