PHOTOS: Porto’s Bakery Shares Concept Art For Its Downtown Disney Location
At the 2022 D23 Expo, Disney announced that Porto’s Bakery was coming to Disneyland’s Downtown Disney.
A beloved Southern California restaurant, Porto’s has become renowned over the decades for its blend of baked goods and Cuban-American flavors.

Needless to say, fans were excited to hear that Porto’s was coming to Disneyland Resort.
The Plan
While Disney did not give an official opening date for Porto’s Bakery, the expectation was that work would begin on the restaurant relatively soon.
The plan was for Porto’s to replace Downtown Disney’s La Brea Bakery. When the latter location closed in January 2023, it seemed like everything was on track.

Unfortunately, that turned out not to be the case.
The Restaurant Has Faced Numerous Delays
Over the past several years, we have seen Earl of Sandwich move into the former La Brea Bakery location, while the development of Porto’s continued.
Last year, it looked like the Earl of Sandwich would finally be evicted so that work could continue on the bakery.
Eventually, however, Disney delayed Earl of Sandwich’s closing again.
Finally, last month, the restaurant was shuttered, and work officially began on Porto’s.
New Concept Art Has Been Revealed
With construction on Porto’s Bakery now officially underway, the restaurant has shared new concept art for the Downtown Disney location.

Based on what we can see, the new Porto’s will be a two-story structure with a large patio.
Rooftop seating will also be available overlooking the outdoor section.
While the new concept art does not provide a ton of detail, it does relay the building’s modern aesthetic and touches of greenery.
