Disney Is Reportedly Considering Four Actresses For Their Live-Action ‘Tangled’
Late last year, we brought you the exciting news that Disney was developing a Tangled live-action remake.
At the time, it was reported that The Greatest Showman director Michael Gracey was set to direct, with Jennifer Katin Robinson writing the script.

While fans were understandably excited for the live-action remake, things hit a snag earlier this year.
The Pause
When Snow White imploded at the box office, it appeared that Disney was scaling back its live-action remake plans, and thus production on Tangled was paused.

With the subsequent success of Lilo & Stitch, however, the development of Tangled resumed.
Who Will Play Rapunzel
Although Disney has yet to announce who will star in the Tangled live-action remake, fans have been speculating about possible castings for months.

Among the names mentioned are Sabrina Carpenter or Meg Donnelly as Rapunzel, and Kathryn Hahn as Mother Gothel.

Now, however, it seems Disney may be closing in on their star.
The Latest
According to a new report from Nexus Point News, Sadie Sink, McKenna Grace, Emma Myers, and Isabel May are being considered for the role of Rapunzel.

“At this time, it remains unclear whether any of these actresses have formally screen tested for the role of Rapunzel. What we can confirm is that all four have been discussed internally and are among the names circulating through various channels,” the Nexus Point News report explains.
Hopefully, we will get an official announcement soon.
