Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Valet Charged with Forgery and Fraud
An employee working at Walt Disney World was arrested last weekend after allegedly stealing a guest’s checkbook and cashing nearly $1,300 in fraudulent checks.
The incident occurred on Saturday at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, where an Ohio woman used valet parking.

According to the arrest report, several days later, the woman began receiving bank notifications of unauthorized withdrawals.
The Investigation
A withdrawal alert for $250 first arrived on Wednesday. Subsequent checks for $670, $98, and $230 were also cashed.

Broward County Police
After the woman examined her vehicle, she found no signs of forced entry but did notice her checkbook was missing.
Eventually, detectives obtained images of the cashed checks from the victim’s bank.
These photos showed that all of the cashed checks had been made out to a man named Mason Henrichsen.

Investigators then contacted the valet manager at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, who confirmed that Henrichsen worked at Kidani Village.
Arrest and Charges
When the alleged thief showed up for his shift on Wednesday night, he was arrested and charged with two felony counts of forgery and fraud.

According to Clickorlando, Henrichsen told deputies he “found a check on the parking lot ground and decided to write it out to himself.”
It should be noted that Henrichsen is not a Disney Cast Member and was instead employed by a third party that Disney contracts for valet services.
