Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster’s Iconic Preshow Has Permanently Closed to Prepare for the Muppets
While the Muppets were evicted from their longtime home in the back of Disney’s Hollywood Studios, fans won’t have to wait long to reunite with Kermit, Scooter, and the rest of Jim Henson’s motley crew.
As announced last November, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster featuring Aerosmith will undergo a refurbishment next year that will see the Muppets integrated into the attraction.

On Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets, guests will race through Hollywood to the tunes of the Electric Mayhem to help Scooter convince the band to stop recording and make it to their concert in time.

With the new version of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster set to debut next summer, Disney is wasting no time in getting to work.
The Attraction’s Preshow Has Closed
When riding Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster this week, we were surprised to see that the attraction’s preshow had already been closed to facilitate the introduction of the Muppets.

While the attraction is still open, guests can no longer see the G-Force recording studio in the queue.

Instead, they are now met by a wall of G-Force records.

Now, guests no longer hear Aerosmith learn that they are late for their concert, or the band’s manager orders the super-stretch limo.

After the doors to the preshow open, guests simply walk through to the ride’s loading area.
The End of an Era
While it makes sense that Disney would want to get started on Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets as quickly as possible, it is surprising that they walled off the preshow without any warning.

Over the decades, the banter between Aerosmith and their manager has become an iconic and beloved part of the attraction.
Now, guests will not have the opportunity to say goodbye.
