DATE REVEALED For the Addition of the Mandalorian and Grogu to Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run
If you have been reading along here at MickeyBlog over the past several months, you know that we have been closely following the updates coming to Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run.
Initially announced at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, the upgraded Smugglers Run will see the introduction of the Mandalorian and Grogu into the attraction.

Additionally, however, the new mission will allow crews to control their destinations through enhanced storytelling and controls enabled by Epic’s Unreal Engine. Finally, the attraction’s “Engineer” role is being upgraded.
Work Has Been Underway
The last time we checked in on the Smugglers Run project, Disney shared more details about how its collaboration with Epic Games was instrumental in upgrading the attraction’s technology.

“We’re really excited to upgrade the Millennium Falcon with an all-new mission,” Imagineer Asa Kalama said, “To bring to life the characters, the Mandalorian and Grogu.”

When Will the Upgraded Attraction Debut?
As part of a broader look ahead to 2026, Disneyland Resort has announced that a new mission will officially be integrated into Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run beginning May 22, 2026.

That date just so happens to coincide with the release of The Mandalorian and Grogu!
Needless to say, Star Wars fans have every reason to be excited.

At this time, it is unclear whether the Hollywood Studios version of the attraction will also be upgraded on May 22, though it seems likely.
