EPCOT’s New Storyteller Brings Germany’s Holiday Traditions to Life Through Puppetry
With the start of the 2025 Festival of the Holidays last Friday, EPCOT has come alive with seasonal cheer and festive fun.
Over the past several days, we have been bringing you updates on the holly jolly entertainment, attraction overlays, and, of course, food that have debuted at EPCOT as part of the park’s winter festival.

While the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays has a ton to offer, my favorite component of the celebration is the Storytellers who are stationed around World Showcase.
The Festival of the Holidays Storytellers
During EPCOT’s Festival of the Holidays, fans can enjoy unique entertainment throughout World Showcase, presented by Storytellers.

Father Christmas
These shows are performed in numerous countries and help guests better understand holiday traditions from around the world.

A staple of EPCOT’s winter festival, the Storytellers have cultivated dedicated followings.
Germany’s New Storyteller
This year, a new Storyteller show has debuted in EPCOT’s Germany pavilion.

To share Germany’s holiday traditions with EPCOT visitors, a puppet show is performed throughout the afternoon and evening.

Throughout the show, audiences meet Krampus, the Easter Bunny, the Christ child, Heinz, and Bernie the Badger.

The Easter Bunny even transforms into the Christmas Bunny.

Here is a closer look at Bernie the Badger.

There is also an appearance by the Christ child, who looks suspiciously like an angel.

Here he is flying.

As previously noted, Krampus also makes an appearance.

Heinz looks a little bit cranky, too.

Finally, here is the Christmas Bunny!

Not only does the Germany pavilion Storyteller do a fantastic job of relaying his country’s holiday traditions, but he also showcases one of Germany’s signature arts forms: puppetry.

The show is performed by Micha’s Adventskalender Puppetry.

It is definitely a performance that you will not want to miss.

After all these years, it is great to see EPCOT continue to blend education and entertainment.
Where To Find the Show
If you want to catch the new German puppet show, head over to the pavilion’s gazebo.

The show is performed throughout the afternoon on Friday through Tuesday at 12:40 PM, 1:30 PM, 2:35 PM, 3:55 PM, 5:00 PM, and 6:05 PM.
As always, be sure to check back with MickeyBlog. We will continue to update you on all the festive fun taking place at EPCOT.
