Zootopia 2 Sets Historic Box Office Record In China
Have you seen Disney’s latest hit? Zootopia 2 is off to a strong start worldwide, and the animated sequel just made history in China.
The film became the first Hollywood release ever to cross $100 million in a single day. This exciting achievement beat the previous record set by Avengers: Endgame, which grossed $97.5 million in 2019.

Early numbers show the movie on track to exceed its estimated $520 million to $575 million opening weekend worldwide.
The strong turnout comes at a welcome time for the global box office. Zootopia 2 and Wicked: For Good are helping revive ticket sales after a slow movie stretch and a weak Halloween weekend.

Zootopia 2 follows Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde as they chase a mysterious reptile who shakes up the city.
The investigation sends them undercover across new neighborhoods while their partnership faces fresh challenges and plenty of fun.

The cast again features fan favorites and introduces new characters. Returning stars include Ginnifer Goodwin, Jason Bateman, Idris Elba and Nate Torrence.
New cast members include Andy Samberg, David Strathairn, Macaulay Culkin, Brenda Song, Fortune Feimster, Patrick Warburton and Quinta Brunson. Zootopia 2 is open now in theaters.
