PHOTOS: Candlelight Processional Prep Underway at Disneyland
Disneyland is preparing for one of its most cherished holiday traditions: the Candlelight Processional.
We spotted crews setting up staging, lighting towers, and covered structures along Main Street USA, getting ready for the special event scheduled for December 6 and 7.

The Candlelight Processional at Disneyland is a 45-minute retelling of the Christmas story through music and narration, and we spotted preparation earlier today.
The show features a mass choir, the Disneyland Symphony Orchestra, fanfare trumpets, handbell performers, and a celebrity narrator.
You can see prep underway at the Main Street Train Station! This is where the choir sings, and the show is typically presented four times throughout the weekend.
Seats are reserved for invited guests, including Club 33 members, VIPs, media, and select partners. (These seats are not available to the general public.)
Construction in the area indicates that Disneyland is preparing for crowds, staging, and lighting needs, though screens and curtains block guests’ views.

Guest speakers have not been announced, and they usually are not revealed until the day of the first performance, often minutes before the first sound check.
Past narrators include Cary Grant, John Wayne, Dick Van Dyke, Gary Sinise, Kurt Russell, Chris Hemsworth, Viola Davis, and James Earl Jones.
Disneyland guests still have a chance to see the performance, as viewing along Main Street USA is open to the public, though space fills up fast.
