Last month, Imagineering provided a behind-the-scenes look at the Haunted Mansion, highlighting the attraction’s innovative storytelling, beloved details, and storied history.

In the latest episode of We Call It Imagineering, Disney explores the company’s commitment to innovation.

Throughout the 30 minute installment, fans get to enter Walt Disney Imagineering Research & Development, which continues to push the boundaries of cutting-edge entertainment robotics, “leveraging reinforcement learning and advanced simulation—powered by high-performance GPUs and an open-source physics engine developed in partnership with NVIDIA and Google DeepMind—to bring true-to-life characters from the screen into the physical world in ways never seen before.”
Throughout the episode, Imagineers’ dedication to using lifelike motion and expression technologies to bring characters to life is also showcased. These breakthroughs have recently resulted in the creation of H.E.R.B.I.E. for Disneyland!
