Christmas Comes to Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside Resort
If you have been reading along here at MickeyBlog over the past couple of weeks, you know that it is beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Walt Disney World.
With the holiday season now officially underway, Disney’s resorts have come alive with festive fun and holiday cheer.

Over the past few days, we have been bringing you updates from across property, showcasing the new holiday decor at Disney’s Contemporary, Polynesian Village, and Yacht Club resorts.

Now, we are back with another update!
Christmas With the Sassagoula Steamboat Company
Earlier this afternoon, we stopped by Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside Resort to check out its Christmas decorations.

I am happy to report that the Sassagoula Steamboat Company lobby has once again come alive with holiday magic!
The fun begins as guests pull up to Port Orleans Riverside, as the resort’s awnings are now decked out in garland.

More strands line the entrance to the main lobby.
Once inside, guests are now surrounded by holiday decor.

As you can see, Riverside’s main Christmas tree has been installed!

Magnolias, vintage ornaments, and plenty of lights trim the tree.

Here is a closer look.

I love how the tree relays its southern influences.

The vintage ornaments really glisten in the lights.

As you can see, the presents underneath the tree are designed to look like luggage!
More Christmas Magic
Throughout the lobby, more strands of garland can be seen.

The strands are adorned with matching ornaments, flowers, and lights.

Here is a closer look.

The entire Sassagoula Steamboat Company looks amazing!
Throughout the area, you can also find illuminated wreaths.

I love these!

Here is one last look at the lobby.

There is nothing like celebrating the holidays at Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside.
