Thanksgiving Travel Surge Expected at Orlando International Airport
If you are flying into Orlando and visiting Walt Disney World this week, be prepared for long lines and lots of travelers.

Orlando International Airport is gearing up for a busy Thanksgiving season, welcoming close to 1.9 million travelers over a 12-day stretch.
MCO recently shared updated projections along with its list of expected peak days.

Busy travel days are fast approaching, with Sunday, November 30, topping the chart at more than 177,000 travelers.
The next busiest days are Saturday, November 29, and Monday, December 1, each expected to bring more than 170,000 passengers through the terminals.

Airport leaders say not to worry, their team is ready for the holiday rush. “Orlando is usually one of the nation’s hottest travel destinations for the holiday season, and Orlando International Airport is ready,” said Lance Lyttle, Chief Executive Officer of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority.
He highlighted enhanced Customer Experience Ambassadors, expanded parking options, and refreshed concessions to help with the busy travel days.

Travelers have access to the North, South, and West parking garages, as well as the Atlantis, Discovery, and Endeavour surface lots near the Train Station.
MCO recommends these tips for smoother travel:

Orlando International AIport
- Follow the 3-2-1 rule: 3 hours at the ticket counter, 2 hours at security, 1 hour at the gate.
- Check the MCO app for parking updates and TSA checkpoint times.
- Use MCO Reserve to secure a designated time for security screening.
- Wait in cell-phone lots instead of stopping on airport roads.
- Recheck flight status before arriving.
- Keep carry-ons clear of prohibited items.
- Pack light and pack your patience.
- Ensure ID meets REAL ID requirements for smoother screening.
